“There are no seven wonders of the world in the eyes of a child. There are seven million.”
- Walt Streightiff
The Afternoon Enrichment program extends your child’s school day until 2:00pm. The program includes lunchtime, outdoor play, a brief rest period, and age appropriate enrichment activities. The children will remain in their classroom with their regular teacher; however, the afternoon program is designed as a learning experience different from the morning schedule.
Is my child eligible for the Afternoon Enrichment program?
Children enrolled in our Primary Classes (3's, 4's/YTG) are eligible to register for these programs. Teachers may suggest that a child delay participation in the afternoon program based on the maturity of each individual child. There is a minimum number of 4 children for each day for AEP to take place.
What is the schedule?
Afternoon Enrichment will run from 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday's. The program begins a few weeks after students start school to give the children an opportunity to adjust to their new school routines. The days chosen are not transferrable and the minimum number of children for AEP is 4
Is lunch and a rest period included?
Students bring a lunch from home, Monday through Wednesday. Children are required to have a short rest period during this time and use small folding rest mats (provided by the family).
